Parking lot
There are 3 handicapped accessible parking spaces available in close proximity to the parking entrance.
Clubhouse
In keeping with the spirit of inclusion, the new operations building is not only wheelchair accessible, but barrier-free for people with different impairments. The training room on the upper floor, for example, is equipped with an inductive hearing system for people with hearing impairments. The signage takes account of visual impairments, for example with stair markings and directions. In addition, toilets and showers as well as the bistro area are wheelchair accessible.
Environment
The terrace and the village square are also designed with handicapped-accessible paving in the form of a polished surface and small joint widths. This means good passability with wheelchairs and walkers as well as no tripping hazards and unwanted stops for the visually impaired.
Barrier-free facilities
The outer loop of the trail section (16a on interactive map) has been designed barrier-free in collaboration with para-athletes Heinz Frei and Ursula Schwaller (large radii, wide trail..) and is thus passable with various special bikes. There are also wheelchair accessible spectator facilities.
Spezial bikes
Handbikes and various wheelchairs are also available at the Swiss Bike Park. These allow people with disabilities, who cannot afford their own bike or use it only sporadically, or people who would like to test this sports equipment out of interest, to enjoy a handbike on the trails in a protected setting and in dreamlike surroundings - bordered by the Chasseral, Gantrisch and Gurten.
